How will 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing affect your business?
Until now, 3D printing has largely been used by product designers and hobbyists and for a few select manufacturing applications. However, the performance of additive manufacturing machinery is improving, the range of materials is expanding, and prices (for both printers and materials) are decreasing rapidly. 3D printing enables on-demand production and with 3D printing, an idea can go directly from a 3D design file to a finished part or product, potentially skipping many traditional manufacturing steps.
In and around Munich, we find a group of inspirational companies worth visiting if you take 3D printing seriously. These include printer manufacturers as well as 3D print labs and inspirational cases from automotive and aviation industries.
In our experience, a short but intense field trip is an effective way of collecting knowledge, while at the same time connecting with peers and future business partners within a technology field.
