Who will be better to inform young students about working in the maritime industry than our young apprentices ?
This fall, EEO (Erhvervsskolernes Elevorganisation) will introduce a brand new campaign. The aim of the campaign is to inform young students in state schools about the many opportunities that follow a vocational education. Therefore, we are right now looking for young apprentices that are ready to become business ambassadors.
The Ministry of Children, Education, and Equality has financed the campaign that aims to educate 60 new role models from the technical, mercantile, and social- & health vocational educations. During the fall, role models will visit 300 state schools and organise 30 information evenings. In this way, students and parents will be prepared and well-informed about a vocational education.
Moreover, the campaign is also a way to present the maritime industry and technical education to young people, that may lead to job opportunities in maritime organisations. The maritime organisations will have the opportunity to educate business ambassadors that are trained to communicate through presentations and social media.
Finally, the young ambassadors can also take part in other education shows, exhibitions, and events. In connection our project "Fremtidens Maritime Håndværker", you will be able to meet Danske Maritime during CPH Skills in October 2016 and in 'DM i Skills' in January 2017 through World Careers in order to find maritime role models.
