And they’ve already lined up some great events for you this fall and winter.
The ‘Port Forum’ is a brand new initiative! In MDCE the ports haven’t had the opportunity for a cross corporation between ports stakeholders so far. This very needed steering committee has now fallen into place and is very excited to show you what moves in the Danish port industry. The themes will be relevant for all companies with any kind of port related activities and invites stakeholders to innovate and exchange experiences in order to strengthen the collaboration and hopefully develop new business opportunities.
The focus of the events will primarily be on issues with an impact upon operations, financing, laws & regulations, working environment, synergies/corporation and competences.
Themes for the fall/winter season will be how ports are defined in the future and digitalisation.
- There’s an ongoing change in the game the ports must follow in order to survive. The key role of the ports is to support the industry and offer a low-cost picture and high efficiency in the supply chain. But do you know what the most important criteria’s are to secure the success of a port? Investments must be made – but which should you prioritise? What does the future of the ports look like and which of them will be a part of the future and which will continue as ‘systematic ports’.
- New digital platforms and potentially disruptive technologies are changing our communication and business. Can we learn from other industries and thereby create strong business opportunities by implementing the newest technologies in the shipping industry? Are companies in around the ports up to speed in utilizing the digital platforms? And does the changes require new competencies?
