Denmark hosted the yearly meeting of the strongest European Maritime Clusters

Representatives from 10 European maritime clusters met at M/S Museet for Søfart in Elsinore on the 25 and 26th of October 2017 for the yearly meeting. ENMC is a platform for cooperation of maritime clusters from all over Europe and has very good ties with various entities in the EU.

One of the tasks for this year’s meeting was to select a new chairman. The incumbent, Francis Vallat of France - and recent Lloyd’s List Lifetime achievement reward holder, had decided to step down. With great support from the network, Arjen Uytendaal Director at Nederland Maritiem Land, was elected as the new chairman.

MDC and its members can use the ENMC to connect to partners throughout Europe. For example, to identify potential business and project partners, experts etc. We endeavour to get even more out of being part of the European network in the future.

We would like to thank Port of Elsinore/Helsingør Havn for sponsoring our meeting, M/S Museet for Søfart for creating a fantastic frame for our international guests as well as HH-Ferries/Scandlines for giving a taste of pure pioneers on their ferry Tycho Brahe soon to be fully battery operated - which really impressed our European partners.
