The Go LNG and EnviSuM projects joint forces and organised a 2-day conference in Gothenburg, Sweden last week. The trip included visits to FordunGas Biogas Plant in Lidköping, DFDS Primula Seaways, the Emerson Solutions factory, a guided tour around the Port of Gothenburg and a visit toNya Älvsborg Emission Measurement Station.
The study visit was dedicated to the changes brought about by the introduction of the Sulphur Emission Regulation Areas in the Baltic Sea Region and it was well visited by both representatives of ports, equipment producers, shipowners, authorities, academia and companies from the LNG and LBG sector.
The concept consisted of a “pick and choose” programme where the participants could choose between a scrubber and an LNG track. On the first day the LNG group focused on Liquid Biogas with a visit to the FordunGas Biogas Plant with presentations on business models and the latest technical developments from Air Liquide. The scrubber group devoted the day to an overview of scrubber technology and study visit to DFDS Primula Seaways.
Second day was focused on Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECA) with perspective of different stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region. Or you could choose to visit the Emerson Process Management System production site in Mölnlycke.
The conference ended with guided tour of Port of Gothenburg and a visit to Nya Älvsborg Emission Measurement Station.
