In collaboration with the Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg, MDC marked 'The day of the Seafarers', where the guests of the museums could get an insight into life at sea. Whether you were 8 or 80 you could have fun with either experiencing the museum exhibition, go on a sailing trip through Virtual Reality or experience a cannon shooting when the Esbjerg Marine Association fired gunfire during the day. All this while chef Jannik offered a free tasting of herring and lobscouse (skipperlabskovs).
In the front hall, MDC welcomed the guests with a maritime experience beyond the usual when the Clipper Group A/S company welcomed them onboard a bulk ship, Clipper Lis. People could experience the work at sea and meet her crew while sailing from Gibraltar to Uddevalla in Sweden. Naturally through Virtual Reality. And for the observant listeners - House of Denmark sponsored a liquorice pipe for those who completed the quiz.
"There's a first for everything" which was certainly the case as both young kids and people of maturity were blown away by this new technology.
