The aim of the project SECMAR is to build up the competences around the Baltic Sea in the area of safe maritime digitalisation.

The key approach is to involve business and innovation actors into the problem-solving process. The partnership can connect and represent ship owners, port officials and IT-companies as well as public maritime stakeholders.

The field of cybersecurity in maritime transport is an emerging field; this means that the SECMAR project and initiative is to be proactive, strategic and ‘early’. By taking action now the idea is to mitigate and minimize future risks and threats.
