When the LNG ferry “MF Princess Isabella” was delivered in 2014 an important milestone towards becoming a fossil free society was met by the Isle of Samsø as ‘MF Princess Isabella’ is foreseen to be the primary taker of the biogas to be produced on the island in the future.
The training session will start out by treating the topics of safe operation of an LNG vessel subject to the IGF code and hazard prevention and control. Hereafter follows a session on LNG Bunkering Guidelines and Firefighting operations and finally the closes with a session on the finances and management of LNG.Come and explore LNG, share an experience and develop new nwtworking and cooperation possibilities!
Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) has been taken into consideration as the marine fuel to cope with the upcoming Global Sulfur Cap 2020. Work to establish both a maritime and a land based LNG infrastructure has been undertaken worldwide, but the questions still remaining are however, if the LNG supply & demand is aligned, if the infrastructure is sufficiently developed, and if so, how do we support the LNG supply chain in order to boost the LNG business?
The global demand for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is expected to increase 4-5% pr. year between 2015 and 2030! Most of the future LNG growth is anticipated to be created by further floating storage regasification units (FSRUs), the declining domestic gas production, small scale LNG and the transport sector.
